I Thank the Readers

I thank all of the readers who have dropped me a message or two regarding my novel, "The Haunting of Dr. Andre C. Brass." I do appreciate the fact that new readers are responding to the novel in such a positive way. Many have contacted me on Facebook and were surprised that my FB page is filled with rescue organizations and have little on the page regarding the novel.

I want all to know that saving lives is so very important to me. Also, the novel plays a very important part regarding this cause. Proceeds from the sales are donated to rescue organizations, rescue situations, my local animal shelter, which is the Buffalo Animal Shelter.

So, I'm very pleased the readers are enjoying the story of Dr. Andre C. Brass. Because without all of you I wouldn't be able to give as much from my heart to those that needs human compassion.

Sincerely,
Maxine Wilson-Perry

A Victory for Puppies and Dogs

On election day the state of Missouri did something that was outstanding and over due regarding the protection of puppies and dogs from cruelty in the hands of breeders. The people voted and Proposition B was passed. A familiar term is The Puppy Mill Initiative. For those who are not familiar with the bill, let me explain. It's regulations against those breeders in the state of Missouri regarding their practices that creates animal cruelty. This bill will make it a crime to over breed, not allowing time in between breeding, deplorable living conditions , improper feeding, water, improper veterinary care and the list goes on concerning the care of the puppies and dogs.

One day I hope puppy mills will be run out of business all together. But, in the meantime I'll take Proposition B and hope other states follow the same pursuit.

This is a step in the right direction and I only hope within a not so far distance away, the bill will go further regarding the protection of these puppies and dogs.

Hoping the enforcers of the law keep a close eye on this.
